French activist Yohan Pawer claims he risks up to one year in prison and a 45,000 euro fine after denouncing what he describes as the sexualization of children at a drag-themed event in Nice.
Pawer, founder of the group Eros, states his activism began in 2024 following allegations that he infiltrated a club of drag queens where “drag queens were reading stories to five-year-old children in schools.”
“I set up a hidden camera,” he explained. “And at the time, it caused a huge buzz in France.”
According to Pawer, this controversy also revealed a political reality many refuse to admit: “Many people think that if you are homosexual, you are left-wing. No, there are also right-wing homosexuals.”
This experience led him to create Eros, a group of LGBTQ+ individuals opposed to left-wing LGBT activism.
“Eros was born from this,” he said.
Today, Pawer claims he is under investigation after denouncing what he describes as a “drag queen picnic” allegedly promoted to children as young as five years old. He asserts that organizers used adult sexual language and that “stands with pornographic books” were present while “children ran right next to them.”
“For having denounced this, I risk up to one year in prison and 45,000 euros in fines,” he declared. “This is extremely serious.”
Pawer states the complaint was filed by Nice’s Family Planning Office and a local LGBT group for “defamation and public insult.” He insists: “We have all the evidence.”
“What I denounce is that children’s world must remain children’s world,” Pawer stated. “Why do adults come into children’s world?”
He claims France is being engulfed by “wokeism,” adding that “the government is complicit” and “is closing its eyes.”
Pawer says he intends to fight this case.
“It is absolutely out of the question for me to stay silent,” he declared. “I will fight until the end.”
